If you clicked on this blog post hoping to see/hear the Sir Paul McCartney-Stevie Wonder collaboration, Ebony and Ivory, sorry to disappoint.
The ebony and ivory in this post is a series of monochromatic frames, in varying shades of gray, for this week’s Monday Phoneography Challenge: Black and White.
All of the following shots were taken with an iPhone 5. I had fun incorporating the panoramic setting on a few of the frames, employed a new 360 app on a couple of others, and went in search of some “trick” phoneography that you’ll spot at the very end.
For more examples of black-and-white phoneography just click HERE.
If you occasionally shoot with an i-thingie, why not join in the fun and hone your craft. There’s a rotating phoneography challenge each and every Monday. For details, visit Sally’s Lens and Pens by Sally, Polly’s Watching The Photo Reels Go Round and Round or Gracie’s Frames and Focus.
See you next Monday!

I guess once I get a smart phone, I may have to get an iPhone just for the camera. Wonder if I can do B&W with my iPad? I’ll have to see. Lovely pictures and I recognize that last effect. 🙂

Janet — More than likely, you’ll have to download your iPad photos into iPhoto and make corrections there, like desaturate to turn color to b&w. That’s what I had to do with my iPhone. It’s not a DSLR, but its quite capable considering its size. Fun handheld for this exercise.
Pawesome photos! if I didn’t know you better I wouldn’t believe they were taken on a phone! =^.^=
Well Bailey, I’m glad we’re good buds and you do believe me when I say that al of the above frames were taken with the iPhone 5. A bientôt my feline friend.
This set of images are a testament to the joys of using the iPhone. Really enjoyed your experimentation with various apps. Well done. Happy Phoneography Challenge.
Thanks Sally. I do enjoy the results I get with the iPhone 5 and the apps that can add a different look(s) to the result. C u next Monday!
Awesome.
Dan, thanks for the huge thumbs-up!
The panoramic ones are particularly interesting 🙂 Love them.
Thanks very much.
Great images, Tom. That must be the mighty Hercules with all the muscles and ‘stuff’. 😀
Or a local on PEDs (performance enhancement drugs). 🙂
