This week, Cee of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge has given us just enough wiggle room to paint ourselves into a corner: the color red, or white, or red and white together.
I’ll take up this Fun Foto Challenge, but to do so, I’ll have to take a drive through Hollywood first to pick up some paint.
In Quentin Tarantino’s 1995 box-office hit Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman’s Mia tells John Travolta’s Vincent an elementary school-level joke that goes something like this:
The Tomato family are walkin’ down the street — Papa Tomato, Mama Tomato and Baby Tomato.
After a while, Baby Tomato starts lagging behind his parents.
Papa Tomato starts getting frustrated with his slowpoke offspring, turns around, walks back and squishes Baby Tomato saying, “Ketchup.”
And, the moral of this story? Slow walkin’ tomatoes end up in the bottle, while the faster one’s end up in the bottle, too; it’s just a matter of time.

If I could have given this a double like, I would have. This was BAD! Thanks so much.
Pat — Thanks for giving my post a BAD rating 🙂
As I am seeing your sense of humor, I believe you would like a BAD rating. You definitely rose to the occasion – real Oscar material.
Wonderful for this challenge. Thanks for adding it! The tomatoes are great!
Thanks Cee. Glad you liked it. Thanks for a great foot challenge this week.
Wasn’t a Pulp Fiction fan, but love the tomato joke! Thanks for all of the great posts – I have to run along the path to keep up with you! And thanks for subscribing to my blog (woohooo)…
A presto! Victoria
Victoria – Pulp Fiction was an ingenious piece of film making. That aside, I follow you and you follow me. Win-win, right? Thanks for commenting on my tomatoes.
P.S. Don’t look now…but I’m following you on Twitter – uhoh! 😀
WP automatically tweets my posts, but I don’t often go on Twitter. Thanks for “stalking” me there. 🙂
Hahaha….. love your sense of humor, Tom. 😀
Sylvia – Gotta have a sense of humor to get through the day, right? Glad you chuckled a bit over my “pomodori” in a bottle.
I did indeed. 😀
Reminds me of the 1980’s move “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes” talk about a dumb movie ! Fantastic photo, perfect for stock!
My little guys couldn’t hurt a flea. They went cooperatively into the boiling water, were peeled then turned into a delicious tomato sauce that covered my plate of pasta that night. Glad you enjoyed by “stock” shots.
Great post!!!
Thanks!
