With the sea coast practically at our doorstep — only a 15-min. drive from la casa — Orna O’Reilly and I headed down to Torre Pozzelle recently for a photoshoot-trek across the rocky terrain overlooking the turquoise-blue Adriatic.
Surrounded by centuries-old junipers, Torre Pozzelle, a 16th century Aragonese watchtower, is the gateway to some of the most beautiful beaches in the municipality of Ostuni, located in the Alto Salento subregion of Puglia in southeastern Italy. The alternating sandy and jagged coves are favorites of countless sun worshipers in the summer, and equally impressive for camera lovers in the off-season.

The Ostuni coast in winter is stunningly beautiful and great for walks at this quiet time of year. Fabulous photos…well captured!

Beautiful, both area and photos. What a treat! Two Tom sightings and an Orna all in a short time. Thanks for brightening my day.
