There’s an old Italian saying: Natale con i tuoi, Pasqua con chi vuoi — Christmas with your family, Easter with whoever you like.
For both holidays, it means getting down to serious business seated around the table savoring an endless parade of homemade, regional dishes — antipasti, first and second courses, and desserts — all prepared with lots of TLC.
Back a few Decembers ago, I posted My Big Fat Italian Christmas. If you missed reading about that mega yultide food-a-thon, just click HERE.
Unlike the aforementioned saying, I normally spend Pasqua (Easter) with family — my true friends — down in Rome, and manage to survive the nearly four-hour feast around la tavola, prepped by Mila and Claudia, my daughter’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law, two romani who really know their way around la cucina. But, who’s complaining? Certainly not me!
Buon appetito e Buona Pasqua!

I must say when it comes to food nobody does it better than Italians. Enjoy your life!
U 2, Valentina.
Everything looks amazing 🙂
It was.
Good eats! I admire your restraint in taking the time to snap some pics. 🙂
There’s always room for a few pics in between courses.
Wonderful foodie photos Tom. Glad you had such a great Easter. Vicina
Thanks, neighbor!
great pics…now I am starving
Wish I could help, but…
😉
Looks delish. I made artichoke-stuffed ravioli, so I had wonderful Italian food, too. 🙂 Not as much and I made it, but still wonderful.

Love the artichoke.
Oh my!
Oh yes!
As always, your photos do great credit to the feast. Love your watermark signatures on the knife blade and handles 🙂
Good eye, KRP.
Yum!
It was. It is. It will be.
