The 2014 edition of My Big Fat Italian Holiday Season (BFIHS) with la famiglia officially got underway on Sunday at Ristorante Crichelon in Valmarana, up in the hills just outside Vicenza in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy.
A plethora of mouth-watering, regional dishes — from fresh, homemade pastas, to an assortment of grilled meats with savory side dishes — were plated before us.
Unfortunately, I got caught up in the moment and forgot to frame all of the desserts. Suffice it to say, they were simply delish.
Care for a virtual taste of what I did frame?
Keep it here as I chronicle all of the dishes that’ll be prepped, plated and consumed, along with all of the wines — red, white and bubbly — that’ll be uncorked and drunk, by my family and friends, both big and small, over the course of the 2014 edition of MBFIHS.
Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo (Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year).
Oh, and buon appetito!

Wonderful foodie pics, Tom! Happy holidays to you. (I found it quite amusing that the ad underneath your post, was for heartburn tablets. ) 😀
