Mon Dieu! It’s the third Monday of the month and that means we have to put away our boxes of 64 Crayola Crayons and showcase some snaps taken with an iThingie in basic Black-and-White format.
On my recent trip to the southwest of France, I ran into a lot of interesting people during my stop in Sarlat-la-Canéda and befriended quite a few.
Courteous in every way, these new-found friends didn’t put on airs and appeared to be quite attentive of my every word. They were quick to nod when I asked if it would be okay for me to take their picture with my iPhone 5. Why, they even promised to follow my blog the next time they logged on the internet.
I’m still waiting to hear back from them; they’re probably just busy and will get to it when they can.
While I await their feedback, let me take this opportunity to introduce you to mes amis français (my French friends). From top-left to bottom-right: Fabien, Rene, Amalie, Normand, Clarisse and Enchanteresse.

If you occasionally shoot with an iThingie, why not join in the fun and hone your craft. There’s a rotating phoneography challenge each and every Monday. For details, visit Sally’s Lens and Pens by Sally, Polly’s Watching The Photo Reels Go Round and Round or Gracie’s Frames and Focus.
Until next Monday, à bientôt!

I can still remember when we only had black and white film – well, that’s all I could afford anyway. Great collection.
Not only did I, too, shoot in b&w, but I toted around an old Graflex 4×6 to do it. I used Kodak Tr-X back in the day and did time developing in the darkroom. Thanks for visiting my site and commenting.
I can see that they are hanging on to your every word. I think I can learn a thing or two from you on how to pick friends. Fun post.
Pat – As that seat belt PSA states, “You can learn a lot from a dummy (mannequin).” 🙂
😀 A very enlightening holiday!
An engaging set of images-happy Phoneography Monday.
Thanks [Mustang] Sally.
Reblogged this on Mehrooni.
Appreciate the extra push on your blog. Thanks!
haha …they are amazing pictures.. keep sharing 🙂
haha ..anytime 🙂
If they do not get back to you, I’m sure they appreciate being on your i-thingie anyway 😀
🙂
Great shots…
Thanks!
You’re most welcome…
I saw “Amalie” on another one of your posts and just assumed you hung out with exquisitely beautiful French women. I’ll be looking for your friends when I’m in Sarlat … great photos and words!
Tell ’em “hey” for me when you run into them. They’ll probably be standing around just waiting to strike up a conversation with you. 🙂
Love all of your amis français. Some are really beautiful, but the Enchanteress is simply stunning. 🙂
Enchanteress was quite the talker. 🙂
What great subject matter you played with here. All of these are wonderful.
And they were so cooperative. 🙂
