In the fertile hills overlooking Lake Garda, in the province of Verona in Italy’s northeastern region of the Veneto, lie the sprawling vineyards of Cantina Tinazzi, one of four award-winning estates that make up the greater Casa Vitivinicola Tinazzi.
Traded domestically and internationally, Cantina Tinazzi, located in Lazise, boasts three distinct lines: Selezione di Famiglia, Ca’ de’ Rocchi and Le Due Giare.
It is within the Ca’ de’ Rocchi line that we find our national gold-medal rosato (rosé): Bardolino Chiaretto “Campo delle Rose” DOC.
A blend of Corvina (70%), Rondinella (10%) and Molinara (20%), Bardolino Chiaretto “Campo delle Rose”DOC, is bright rose petal in color.
It has an elegant and fruity fragrance with floral hints of blossoming roses. Delicate on the palate, it has a flavorful and smooth taste with good acidity.
Bardolino Chiaretto “Campo delle Rose” DOC pairs well with light appetizers, antipasti, pizza and grilled vegetables; first course dishes of summer-fresh pasta and seafood risotti; and, marries well with main courses of fish — fresh and saltwater varieties — and white meats.
Best served chilled at 9-10°C in a tulip-shaped glass.
SALUTE!

Your photos are so lovely one can almost taste the food and wine! Nicely done Tom!
Thanks Tina. If the frames look edible and drinkable then I guess I’m doing it right. 🙂
Looks very refreshing.
Tux – For me, a nice glass of chilled rosato is one of the best ways to say “summer.” Cin cin!
yummmm….
but
new meds = no alcohol
this makes me very sad……
Too bad. Well, when you’re over the meds give this bottle a test drive. You’ll love it.
I love a chilled Rose in the summer too, this one looks wonderful. 🙂
It looks AND tastes wonderful. Go in search and let me know.
I will. 🙂
I never appreciated rose until one summer when I was staying with my s-i-l in Provence. She and her husband have an incredible cellar but it was so hot, we couldn’t even drink their wonderful reds. But the roses tasted great.

I love Provence because of all of those gorgeous rose’. I hope to sample a few new ones when I head for the southwest France, near Bordeaux, starting Thursday. A bientot!
Safe travels and have a wonderful time.
