It’s no secret that I prefer walking around rather than driving around the old city center of Vicenza.
On foot I can see way more than I can behind the wheel, like this morning’s stroll around town admiring the recently planted springtime color as I went across a few of the old bridges that I recently showcased in Far From Madison County.
For me, it’s shoe leather all the way.

Besides, Italy hasn’t become a big player in the stylish tire market. Only makes sense that shoe leather is the means of choice. When I read your last post I was thinking I was missing some photos from your cobblestones. Thanks for the fix.
Pat — I hate to disappoint, but lots of cars around Europe ride on made-in-Italy Pirelli tires. Glad you liked the quick post. Now it’s off to the cobbler for some resoling. 🙂
I guess I was just being a little ethnocentric – being from MI and all. I am familiar with Pirelli tires – what a slip. After taking a bite out of my shoe – I think I’m the one who needs to go for some resoling. 🙂
