CBBH Photo Challenge: Reflection

CBBH Featured Me badgeWOWZERS!

What a way to ring in the New Year.

Better than a Bloody Mary to diminish the lingering buzz from the night before, Marianne of East of Málaga just selected The Palladian Traveler as one of the two featured blogs in her January Conejo Blanco Blog Hop (CBBH) photo challenge. Tanya of Chica Andaluza gets the other white rabbit nod.

Muchas gracias Marianne.

For the January CBBH challenge, Marianne’s selected REFLECTION and set it up with some fantastic reflective frames that you’ll not want to miss. For complete details on East of Málaga’s monthly photo challenge, just click right here: CBBH.

The Palladian Traveler - reflection logoYou’ve got until the end of the month to submit and share your interpretation of the theme with other CBBH entrants; so, you’ve got ample time to scratch your head, ponder the challenge, dust off some of your archival shots or go in search of new material.

Pardon me for being lazy – one of my New Year’s resolutions – but I’ve simply dusted off a post that I recently used to meet the WP Weekly Photo Challenge, Reflections in Water & Glass. Let’s just call it an encore. Thanks in advance for viewing the slideshow and providing me with your feedback. I promise to do the same when you post.

Unique among all of the photo challenges that are out there in the blogosphere, East of Málaga’s CBBH monthly challenge involves not only your photographic efforts, but also taking the time to give a plug to two of your favorite blogs that you deem worth mentioning so that we can all HOP on over to check them out. It’s a great way to build your audience and see what other bloggers that you may not be aware of are doing.

Here are two bloggers that I follow that are absolutely worthy of a click-over during 2013:

My French HeavenStéphane of My French Heaven – Always upbeat, Stéphane really “puts on the Ritz” with his inviting posts about cuisine, design and joie de vivre from his creative hideaway/bed & breakfast in Saint-Emilion in the southwest of France. Follow Stéphane as he shows you how to lose weight the French way without sacrificing the taste. My French Heaven, the little blog with the big heart (le petit blog avec le grand coeur).

Bella RemyEmily of Bella Remy Photography’s Hoof Beats and Foot Prints – One of the most talented photographer-writer blogs that I’ve encountered thus far, Emily is one of those rare WP Freshly Pressed authors – yes, they really do exist.  Give her latest post a ride, Iron Horses at the B&O Train Museum, and then judge for yourself. Whether on horseback or on foot, you can always count on Emily to deliver a well-crafted, creative and informative read.

Make it one of your New Year’s resolutions to join in this monthly photographic “bunny hop” with the effervescent Marianne of East of Málaga.

Now, I need another Bloody Mary. What a night!

Ciao for now.

  1. You certainly have some wonderful reflections here, Tom. I love them all, but especially the one of the swan. I love Emily’s blog, and will be sure to hop over and see Stéfane. 🙂

  2. Dear Tom, First allow me to congratulation you on your bunny hop recognition. Secondly for introducing East of Malaga to us, along with her monthly photo challenges.
Then..I have been totally blown away – Having you consider my blog even remotely worthy of a bunny hope is so humbling. I am truly grateful for your kind recommendation and truly honored.
I really enjoyed viewing your slideshow, and I believe my favorite one was the one with the mirror reflection. Made me realize how little of reflections I’ve played with this past year. This assignment will help challenge me to capture more.
Thank you so very much for your kindness and I hope to be able to repay you someday. You truly have a wonderful and adventurous blog. Emily aka Bella

  3. It gave me a great pleasure to watch this video… Loving the photos… A great job Tom 🙂 I liked the guitar so much.

    1. Paula – The guitarist is Vito Simplicio and the song is Your Dreams Are My Dreams. I stumbled upon him on some rights free site. I enjoy him and his classical guitar a lot. Glad you enjoyed the post.

    1. Emily – You deserve all the recognition you can muster. You have a great looking blog with terrific content. Btw, it’s Tom Palladio vice Tom Palladin. I’ll leave the latter family name to the late Richard Boone of the hit TV series, Have Gun WIll Travel…”And a man called Palladin.”
