Red and White Pulp Fiction

This week, Cee of Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge has given us just enough wiggle room to paint ourselves into a corner: the color red, or white, or red and white together.

Scene from Pulp Fiction | ©Lionsgate Home EntertainmentI’ll take up this Fun Foto Challenge, but to do so, I’ll have to take a drive through Hollywood first to pick up some paint.

In Quentin Tarantino’s 1995 box-office hit Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman’s Mia tells John Travolta’s Vincent an elementary school-level joke that goes something like this:

The Tomato family are walkin’ down the street — Papa Tomato, Mama Tomato and Baby Tomato.

Papa Tomato starts getting frustrated with his slowpoke offspring, turns around, walks back and squishes Baby Tomato saying, “Ketchup.”

And, the moral of this story? Slow walkin’ tomatoes end up in the bottle, while the faster one’s end up in the bottle, too; it’s just a matter of time.

      1. As I am seeing your sense of humor, I believe you would like a BAD rating. You definitely rose to the occasion – real Oscar material.

  1. My little guys couldn’t hurt a flea. They went cooperatively into the boiling water, were peeled then turned into a delicious tomato sauce that covered my plate of pasta that night. Glad you enjoyed by “stock” shots.
